The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing is proud to offer a wide range of scholarships to our students each year, due to the generosity of our donors. Scholarships are awarded during the fall and spring semesters, and are applied directly to students' OUHSC bursar account. Any overpayment will be refunded to the student. The average scholarship amount awarded to undergraduate scholarship recipients is $1,500 per year.

To qualify for a scholarship through the College of Nursing, you must:

• Be admitted to one of the College of Nursing programs
• Expected to enroll in the term that the scholarship will be awarded
• Must have a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file with the Office of Financial Aid by the scholarship deadline. When completing the FAFSA, please use the OUHSC school code 005889. Individuals who are not eligible for FAFSA completion are encouraged to contact Student Affairs at nursing@ouhsc.edu and the Office of Financial Aid.

Applications are completed and submitted through students Self-Service. The 2021-22 Scholarship process is being reviewed.  More information about the process and available awards will be posted in July 2021 and all students both currently enrolled and new incoming students will be notified via email when the scholarship application opens.

Criteria and Deadlines: 

Some scholarships may include additional criteria for eligibility that must be met. These criteria are determined by the donor. If all criteria is not met, the application will not be considered for the scholarship. Additional criteria requirements and any questions about criteria can be directed to nursing@ouhsc.edu. All deadlines are strictly enforced for all scholarships.

Awards and Notifications:

We will make every effort to have decisions made and funds awarded before the last date to pay tuition and fees without service charges are due. These dates can be viewed on the Admissions and Records, Academic Calendar. Students who are awarded a scholarship will be notified via their OUHSC email. Only those students who receive a scholarship will receive a notification.
