Faculty Jones and Peters, March of Dimes Heroes in Action Award Winners
The March of Dimes Oklahoma Chapter recently honored two OU Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing faculty members at its annual Nurse of the Year awards. Karen Peters, MSN, RN, CEN received the Education Award and Emily Jones, PhD, RNC-OB, FAHA, FPCNA, received the Innovation Award. Through Nurse of the Year Awards, the March of Dimes recognizes nurses who demonstrate exceptional patient care, compassion, and service. Whether serving as a health care provider, educator, or chapter volunteer, these nurses have played a critical role in improving the health of Oklahoma’s residents. OU College of Nursing Faculty Stacy King, DNP, RN was a finalist in the Education category as well.
