Patsy R. Smith, PhD, RN, CNE, faculty at the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, was elected President of the Association of Black Nursing Faculty, Inc. during its 29th Annual Meeting and Scientific Conference. ABNF Inc., is a source for disseminating knowledge on evidence-based health-related issues of under-represented populations and nursing education, and addressing legislation, governmental programs and community activities through scholarly discourse. “The privilege to support the mission and vision of ABNF, Inc., and to continue its legacy are challenging and awesome,” said Dr. Smith. She will retain the role of president through the 31st Annual Meeting and Scientific Conference in 2018.
