OU College of Nursing Ranked as One of the Top 50 Best Value Nursing Programs for 2016

OU College of Nursing Ranked as One of the Top 50 Best Value Nursing Programs for 2016

According to Value Colleges, www.valuecolleges.com, the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center ranked in the Top 50 Best Value Nursing Programs for both the Ph.D. and D.N.P. programs for 2016.

For ranking methodology, Value College reviewed regionally-accredited, mostly AACN-accredited programs and ranked them according to reputability, return on investment – mid-level salaries of alumni reported by Payscale and tuition cost.  Value College determined which institutions offered the best balance between quality, job market reliability and affordability.

The OU College of Nursing’s Ph.D. is designed to prepare nurse scientists to advance the science, art and practice of the discipline through patient-centered research and scientific inquiry.  The program prepares nurses to develop and apply knowledge in many roles as a research investigator, educator, administrator, clinician and health care policy advocate.   The D.N.P. program is a clinical doctoral program for registered nurses who are looking to further their education.  The D.N.P. program builds upon a traditional master’s program by providing education in evidence-based practice, quality improvement and system leadership, in additional to other key areas.
